This is my Fatu Feu'u Inspired painting, the first piece as you can see here is Fatu Feu'u's painting.
I think I did better when I did the pastel one in my book because I messed up my painting a bit.😒

Description of the 6 different symbols or shapes you used.
Then add the reason why you chose them.

I chose this pattern because it’s Maori but at the same time it’s not and so it’s unique in it’s own way.

I chose this pattern  because it’s a common Pacifica pattern. ( which is triangles and fishes)

I chose this pattern because it’s got korus, red and black so it’s Maori.

I chose this pattern because it is a pacifican flower but I made it into this kind of flower so  it isn't a flower anymore and it's more like my own creation.

I chose this pattern because it has all the Maori colours and has korus.

I chose this pattern because I saw something similar to this and I made it into this.

  1. You have an extremely successful painting Hilary. I think you need to add a picture of your finished work, as it is in the hall, to your blog post. I particularly like the way you have strong use of orange and blue - complimentary colours. Also, having a limited number of colours repeated, but with detail picked out, makes the work very strong and wonderfully balanced. You have used both Maori and Pacific pattern influences but changed them into your own style. Awesome!
